The 2018 Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment Award

What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Ladin Subaru's Donation to Valley Presbyterian  –  Angela S

Ladin Subaru's Donation to Valley Presbyterian

Ladin Subaru teamed up with us at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's California Southland Chapter to donate and personally deliver a large quantity of craft kits and blankets to pediatric patients in need at Valley Presbyterian. Helen, Karen and the team at Ladin Subaru went above and beyond to make this delivery as warm and personal as possible. They brought along hand-written notes and personally visited patients in each room, distributing the blankets and craft kits and cheering them up by reading stories and telling jokes. The children were so happy to receive these items and many started coloring right away using their new craft kits! It was very special to witness so many smiles brought to their faces!

Subaru and NWF Love the Earth!  –  Kathi B

Subaru and NWF Love the Earth!

The native plants donated by Bluestone Perennials have been planted in planter boxes along our walkway and the $100 VISA gift card from Subaru going towards purchasing "seed balls" (butterfly plant seeds rolled in a soil matrix to give out to classmates at our school to increase pollinator plant growth in our community), a trellis for a climbing pollinator plant, soil, and a pollinator "house" - a safe place for pollinators to "rest" overnight. I will be sending you a few more pictures in the next couple of emails of these purchases I made for my class on behalf of your generous gift. This has been a wonderful way to help me continue to add to my class' interest in helping the Monarchs and other pollinators in our community at the end of the year. Thank you so much for organizing the other sponsors to reach out to schools and elementary school children. You are greatly appreciated!

Dear Ladin Subaru, This is just a quick note to thank you for your sponsorship and support of the Thousand Oaks Police Charitable Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament! Thank you for your most generous support of the 20th Annual Thousand Oaks Police Charitable Foundation’s (TOPCF) 2016 Golf Tournament. Funds raised at this year’s Tournament, presented by title sponsor Pleasant Holidays, exceeded our financial goals—all of which will go toward the support of TOPCFs volunteer, youth and family programs. It's programs like this that keep Thousand Oaks on the leading edge of community engagement and crime prevention strategies. The TOPCF assists the Police Department as it manages public safety programs, its efforts toward enhancing the quality of life within the community, its support and recognition of volunteers and its mission to deter crime. It’s because of your support and contributions that Thousand Oaks was recently recognized as the safest city in the nation for women and the second safest city overall nationwide. Our sincerest thanks to you and your organization. We look forward to seeing you at the 21st Annual TOPCF Golf Tournament in 2017. Keeping Our Kids Safe  –  Vanise T

Keeping Our Kids Safe

Newbury Park High School is extremely grateful for Ladin's wonderful support of our annual Safe and Sober After-Prom Party. This party offers students with a place to continue prom festivities without the temptation of alcohol, drugs, hotel rooms, or driving from one party to another. Ladin has continued to generously donate a free car to be raffled off to one lucky senior each year, which has helped to bring in hundreds of kids to the After-Prom party. Ladin is a family-centered business that truly cares for the community and their support ensures our kids stay safe while having fun. They believe in this worthwhile event and that has made a huge difference for our high school students. Each year the kids look forward to checking out the Ladin car on campus and are excited to attend the After-Prom party in the hopes of taking it home. Thank you Ladin!! The NPHS PFA, faculty, staff and students grealky appreciate your passion for helping the community and keeping kids safe!

Ladin Subaru Truly Shares the Love  –  Janet Y

Ladin Subaru Truly Shares the Love

For the last three years, Ladin Subaru has partnered with Senior Concerns, a Thousand Oaks, CA-based nonprofit serving seniors and family caregivers. Through Share the Love and the Love Run, Ladin Subaru is making a significant difference in our community. Ladin Subaru is helping support people like Jackie, who at age 55, is living with rapidly progressing dementia. As a participant in Senior Concerns' Adult Day Program, Jackie is in a safe, caring and supportive atmosphere where she can make friends and feel a sense of purpose. Ladin Subaru's support enables Senior Concerns to deliver Meals On Wheels to seniors like Marlene, who lives alone and is homebound due to complications of severe arthritis and chronic congestive heart failure. When we first met her, she was at risk for malnutrition. Because of Ladin Subaru, she now receives Meals On Wheels 5 days a week and is regaining her health. As a community we are aging. The number of seniors with dementia is predicted to increase and they may be in need of our Adult Day Program. More seniors will be living alone, unable to cook for themselves. Our Meals On Wheels Program will be there. As more adult children assume the role of family caregiver, they will need the services of our Caregiver Support Center. All of this is possible in large part because of the support and partnership we have with Ladin Subaru. The team at Ladin Subaru is truly an example of the Love Promise.
